About the treatment

What is 1-2-1 Yoga?

A 1-2-1 yoga session is built around you: your body, your energy on the day and whatever you would like from the practice. There is no need to keep up with a room full of people, and no pressure to look a certain way in a pose.

Sessions are breath-led and often feel more like a moving meditation than a workout. They can be a good starting point if you are completely new to yoga, if you are returning after a break or an injury, or if you already practise and would like time to go deeper.

At Soma, 1-2-1 yoga is offered by Emma Foster of Vibrant Being, a yoga teacher and holistic therapist, who also works with women through pregnancy and after birth.

Questions

Questions about 1-2-1 Yoga

I have never done yoga before. Is that a problem?
Not at all. A 1-2-1 session is a good place to start, because everything is explained and adapted as you go.
Do I need to be flexible?
No. Flexibility is not a requirement for yoga, and everything can be adjusted with props or alternatives.
Can I practise during pregnancy?
Yes. Emma works with women through pregnancy and after birth, and will adapt the practice to your stage.
What should I bring?
Just comfortable clothing. Mats and props are here for you.
